About Heritage Auctions

Coin connoisseur Jim Halperin established collectibles auction house Heritage Auctions with prominent numismatist Steve Ivy in 1976. The founders utilized their combined expertise in coin collecting and evaluation to create Heritage Coin, a subcategory of Heritage Auction focusing on accumulating and selling U.S. and world coins. Clients can receive a free auction evaluation for their collections or individual coins and consign valuable items for a competitively low commission fee. Heritage Auctions invests more than $7 million each year in marketing and advertising efforts for its auctions, reaching collectors at major conventions and over 470,000 registered bidders through its website.
